Chocolate Muesli Slice

This is my third muesli slice type recipe, but I love them because they are so easy to make and don't require baking, which is perfect in January when it's 35 degrees outside.

 

I made a video of some kids making this on my No Packet November (NPN) Facebook page (@nopacketnovember) just to show how quick it is.  It's a much better option to the commercial muesli bars that often have loads of preservatives.

 

Chocolate Muesli Slice

 

125 butter, melted 1/3 cup honey
2 tblsp cacao powder 2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups rolled oats 1 1/2 cups nuts and seeds, chopped
3/4 cup desiccated or shredded coconut

METHOD

1. Melt butter, add honey and cacao powder and stir well.

 

2. Combine dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients.

 

3. Mix well and press into a slice tin. Allow to set in the freezer, then cut into approx. 18 squares.

They both have so many fantastic recipes, so check out their work. I like to store this in the freezer, making it perfect for lunchboxes.
